Celebrant

Ingrid has lived and worked in Sydney’s east much of her life. She is a natural collaborator, enabling everyone to feel open and safe to share ideas, creating meaningful ceremonies that reflect the essence of love and connection. As a Celebrant, she draws on her facilitation, coaching and hospitality experience as well as life experience as a writer and navigating tragic loss.

Walking alongside life’s precious moments with compassion that reflects life, loss and love that lasts.

In her downtime, Ingrid can usually be found in or near the ocean. She is passionately involved in community approaches to mental health, supporting the non-profit surf community OneWave. She started ‘Swim for Ukraine’ with her local surf and swim clubs, enabling recently arrived Ukrainians to enjoy the healing power of being in the water safely.

A beachside Memorial for her younger sister enabled a community rocked by tragic loss a space to gather, mourn and begin the healing process. Being present with death and loss mindfully, compassionately and wisely – for ourselves, loved ones and community, to be a good companion. Ingrid can’t think of a more generous, human thing to do.
